Mateusz Janicki. Improviser.

Impro KRK.

If all the ideas that originated in Cracow pubs and cafes were realised, Cracow would be the most modern and interesting place on earth.  Such a “restaurant idea” was to create  in Cracow an “impro” group. Fortunately that project was not drowned in beer. Its authors managed to persuade their friends, mainly graduates from Cracow Theatre Academy, to compose workshops on “improvisation on the stage”. Together with a Danish actor and educator – Steen Haakon Hansen it gradually has transformed to the present Impro Krk Group.

So since June 2016 that group has been successfully performing – mainly in theatres in Cracow.  At the beginning it was the Szczęście Theatre,  led by Andrzej Talkowski.   Unfortunately  that cooperation lost when confronted with COVID19 and now the Impro shows may be visited on various stages of Słowacki Theatre, also during the summer BulwArt Sztuki festival organized by the  Łaźnia Nowa theatre.  Recently the Group organizes improvisation workshops and performs on the “Berlin” stage of Teatr Nowy theatre in Cracow.
